The Polish public broadcaster TVP has signed a framework agreement with Monolith Films.
Valid for an unspecified number of years, it secures exclusive rights to titles from Amblin, Lionsgate, Summit, STX, Millennium Films, Studio Canal and many other global film producers.
It also includes productions and co-productions by Polish artists.
TVP says that in the first year of the agreement it will broadcast over 100 films from the Monolith Films library on its two flagship channels TVP1 and TVP2.
It also notes that one of the main advantages of the agreement is the wide variety of genres it covers.
Furthermore, some of the titles are Oscar winners or have received awards at world film festivals.
