Disney has hired Sky’s Luke Bradley-Jones for the rollout of its Disney+ streaming product in Europe and Africa.
Most recently chief marketing officer, Bradley-Jones joined Sky in 2012 as director of TV products, and was responsible for the strategy, marketing and commercial performance of products including Sky+, Sky Go, Sky Box Sets, Sky Store and Sky Q.
He subsequently took on responsibility for the marketing, media and creative strategies for all of the broadcasters products across Sky TV, Sky Broadband and Sky Mobile.
Based in London, Bradley-Jones will report into Jan Koeppen, Disney’s president of TV and direct-to-consumer in Europe, and Michael Paull, president of Disney streaming services.
Prior to his time at Sky Bradley-Jones worked for BBC Worldwide, where he was managing director, BBC.com & Global iPlayer.
He spent two years as an advisor to the fledgling Pluto TV and was a governor of Haverstock School in Camden.
Disney’s steaming service, which is being priced at $12.99 in the US market, will launch this autumn.
