AirTies wins Swiss Wi-Fi deployment

August 15, 2019 12.05 Europe/London By Julian Clover

The Swiss operator Quickline is to deploy AirTies’ managed Wi-Fi in homes throughout the country.

AirTies has announced its supplying a suite of Smart Wi-Fi solutions including AirTies’ Remote Manager, a cloud-based optimisation tool that provides real-time visibility into subscribers’ and Wi-Fi performance, allowing remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.

AirTies Mesh Extender will also be offered to Quickline subscribers. The extender uses AirTies Smart Wi-Fi software that intelligently directs consumers’ devices (laptops, tablets, smartphones, game consoles, IoT, smart home devices, etc.) to the best available channel and band based on network conditions.

AirTies’ hybrid cloud-local architecture leverages both embedded intelligence in the extenders and cloud-based analytics to maximize responsiveness, scalability, and performance. This approach is also key for high-bandwidth, low-latency applications such UHD video and gaming.

“With AirTies, we can deliver whole-home Wi-Fi in a scalable and cost-effective way that maximizes performance,” said Ulrich Schwob of Quickline. “The responsiveness inherent in AirTies’ combination of local and cloud architecture allows us to address all of today’s use-cases.”

“We are honoured to provide Quickline with our proven, managed Wi-Fi solution, as they continue to raise the bar for superfast home Wi-Fi and customer service across Switzerland,” added Philippe Alcaras, CEO, AirTies. “By combining network intelligence from the home network and the cloud, innovative providers such as Quickline can benefit from improved coverage, performance, and the insights needed to differentiate their service and delight their customers.”

AirTies’ technologies have been deployed by more than 50 service providers across 4 different continents and 30 million homes.
