The situation at Telekom Romania is under control, according to Michael Tsamaz, the head of its parent company OTE.
Speaking in a meeting with financial advisors and quoted by Ziarul Financiar, he added that the expected progress from the management team in Bucharest is materialising constantly and this should be reflected in results in the coming quarters.
The restructuring programme, which will see Telekom Romania reduce its workforce by over 10%, will result in lower costs.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, had 2.8% lower revenues in Q2 (€231.2 million) than in the corresponding period last year.
OTE, which is backed by Deutsche Telekom, is also looking to sell its share in the company.
