Ukraine’s StarLightMedia has begun to distribute CAM modules to pay-TV operators ahead of the encryption of satellite channels in the country.
Quoting a statement from the company, Mediasat reports that the encryption will take place in January 2020 and this is a very important stage of preparation.
It adds that the encryption will be undertaken using Verimatrix conditional access.
This month will also mark the start of a national information campaign on the encryption of channels.
StarLightMedia is one of the leading media groups in Ukraine.
Its portfolio includes the TV channels STB, ICTV and New Channel.
