AMC Networks International (AMCNI) has named Patrick Connolly its senior VP of programming and marketing.
He will take his expanded new role which will include overseeing marketing activities for the AMC and SundanceTV global brands alongside AMCNI’s regional brands and channels in more than 130 countries. In addition, he will continue to lead on-air creative and programming activities for AMC Global and SundanceTV Global.
Connolly will also continue to serve as executive producer of all film festival coverage for SundanceTV Global. He will continue to be based in New York and report to Harold Gronenthal, executive VP, programming and marketing, AMCNI.
Connolly joined AMC Networks in 2011 and was VP of programming and scheduling AMC/SundanceTV Global before being named senior VP of programming, AMC/SundanceTV Global in 2018.
He began his career in programming at Fox, where he held various roles at Fox Kids / Fox Family / Fox Children’s Network including director of planning and scheduling and executive director of programming and development, rising through the ranks and ultimately joining Fox Broadcasting where he served as VP of children’s programming.
