The Czech public broadcaster Ceska Televize has launched a new application called HbbTV Test 2.0.
Rozhlas.cz reports that by doing so it will be able gain an overview of the actual support of HbbTV in receivers used in the market.
As a result, it will be possible to offer even better services by assessing which new functionalities can be added to HbbTV applications. HbbTV 2.0 broadcasts, for instance, support DRM content protection.
The test application will also allow viewers to find out what their TVs support in relation to the future development of HbbTV.
The test, taken entirely at the discretion of the user, runs automatically and takes up to 13 minutes.
CT will the allow users to view the complete results of the test, which will be completely anonymous. The test will run for at least three months.
