The Czech Republic’s O2 TV ended June with 381,000 IPTV and OTT subscribers.
The figure, which was 43,000 more than at the start of the year, included households subscribed to the complementary MULTIservice, which allows viewers to watch TV on multiple TV sets at once.
The opportunity to watch O2 TV content on the web or in mobile applications was used on average by close to 530,000 viewers on a regular basis in H1, including those of the O2 TV Sport Pack package.
As a result, O2 had a total of over 900,000 O2 TV active accesses at the end of June.
Meanwhile, the number O2 Czech fixed broadband customers over cable as well as wireless technology reached 812,000 at the end of June, with the number growing by 14,000 in the first half of the year.
O2’s combined Czech and Slovak operation had a total operating revenue of CZK18,989 million (€736.5 million) in H1, or 2.1% more than in the same period last year.
Its EBITDA was CZK6,055 million (+12.6%) and net profit CZK2,604 million (-6.2%).
