The Spanish regulator CNMC has fined Atresmedia for exceeding airtime dedicated to advertising and teleshopping messages on its TV channel Neox.
The offence, which CNMC classifies as mild, took place in November 2018 and the fine amounts to €3,680.40.
At the same time, CNMC has also fined Mediaset, Atresmedia’s main competitor, a much larger €365,301 for exceeding airtime dedicated to self-promotions, advertsing and teelshopping messages. T
he violations were detected in December 2018 and January 2019 and took place on the TV channel Cuatro, Energy, Divinity and Telecinco.
