Sky Deutschland to launch Sky Cinema Dark Future HD

August 1, 2019 11.10 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

At the occasion of the German TV premiere of Peter Jackson’s Mortal Engines, pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland will screen over 20 sci-fi films on a dedicated channel for 10 days.

From August 30 to September 8, 2019, pop-up channel Sky Cinema Dark Future HD will offer current productions such as Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One and Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049.

The schedule will also comprise classics like the Mad Max trilogy with Mel Gibson and all three Matrix parts with Keanu Reeves. Mortal Engines will be shown on September 1 as a German TV debut on Sky Cinema Dark Future HD.

The channel will replace Sky Cinema Hits. Most films will also be available on demand and on streaming service Sky Ticket.
