Three channels from Channel 5’s VOD platform My5 are to launch on Pluto TV in the UK.
My5 Crime, My5 Documentaries and My5 GPs: Behind Closed doors make their debut today (Thursday).
The move reciprocates last month’s launch of three Pluto TV channels on My5 – Pluto TV Drama, Pluto TV Movies and Pluto TV Food.
My5 Crime will detail investigations of murder cases, drug busts and street violence in the UK; My5 Documentaries will screen a range of factual entertainment, while My5 GPs: Behind Closed Doors is a single series channel that grants access to the daily stresses, strains and joy of health care professionals in Britain’s NHS.
“We recognized our viewers’ curiosity about true crime, documentaries and behind-the-scenes looks at an early stage and implemented them with channels such as Pluto TV Crime”, commented Olivier Jollet, Managing Director Europe at Pluto TV. “The My5 additions, with beloved series like GPs: Behind Closed Doors and Police Interceptors now bring an even more intimate, humane perspective on the world and people around us to Pluto TV.”
Viacom, which owns both Pluto and Channel 5, is getting the best out of its properties. My5 Crime will also include content from sibling 5Spike.
