Emil Koshlukov dismisses BNT executives

August 1, 2019 08.42 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The new Bulgarian National Television (BNT) DG Emil Koshlukov has dismissed a number of leading executives at the station.

Capital reports they include Ulyana Pramova, the head of the Information Directorate, who was herself DG for two consecutive terms between 2004-10.

Pramova has been replaced by Marmila Dragolova, the executive producer of the current affairs programme From the day, which Koshlukov presented until a few months ago.

Koshlukov is also reported to have dismissed Nadia Kostova, who was responsible for the programming on the channels BNT1, BNT2, BNT HD and BTN World; and Genoveva Momcheva, the director of BNT2.

Soon after taking office, Koshlukov also dismissed Vitosar Sariivanov, the main producer of sport, and appointed Sasho Yovkov as director of the new Sport Directorate.
