Amino has announced a collaboration with the app-based Pay TV video streaming platform, MobiTV. The solution will be commercially available in Q4, 2019.
App-based solutions are increasingly becoming a more viable and cost-effective route to launching next-generation video services. The joint Amino and MobiTV-powered service addresses both operator and consumer demand for alternative video delivery solutions and allows subscribers to enjoy a wide selection of streaming content services.
By upcycling deployed devices with the latest version of AminoOS Enable, operators can adapt to market demand for services that deliver linear channels and streaming content to multiple screens in the home or on the go. Amino’s streamlined upcycling process leverages a proven professional services methodology to centrally manage the updating of device software on distributed legacy devices. AminoOS Engage also provides ongoing device management and enhances customer service and support. Amino OS works with the MobiTV SaaS platform to transform these deployed assets into another part of the multiscreen ecosystem.
