B2B services accounted for a third of the Russian DTH platform Orion’s revenues in the second quarter.
According to the latest results published by the company, total revenues in Q2 amounted to around R730 million (€10.36 million), with B2B’s share growing by four percentage points in the year to June 30 to 33%.
The latter figure was made up of distribution of TV channels (6%) and “the complex of services offered to broadcasters” (27%).
The remaining two-thirds of revenues were claimed by Orion’s DTH (B2C) portfolio.
In the results, Orion says that at the end of Q2 it provided services for the pre-broadcast preparation and distribution of 62 Russian and foreign TV channels.
During the quarter it started the commercial production of two Ultra HD channels, expanded cooperation with Viacom and concluded an agreement with VimpelCom (Beeline).
Meanwhile, ARPU of its budget Telekarta DTH package grew by 10% in the year to June 30 to R122, while that for the average price package fell by 1% to R281.
