Almost two thirds (64%, or over 15 million) of internet users aged 16+ in Poland now watch series online.
Furthermore, according to the findings of the fourth edition of Wavemaker’s Videotrack, they have the greatest preference for Netflix and HBO content (47% each), followed by that from Polsat (27%), Universal (25%), Fox (22%), AXN (22%), TVP (21%) and BBC (20%).
The majority (40%) favour episodes 31-45 minutes long, followed by 40-60 minutes (25%) and 21-30 minutes (20%).
They also state a preference for Polish voiceover (71%), rather than Polish (25%) or English (4%) subtitles.
The most popular series among internet users are made in the US (68%), followed by Poland (43%), the UK (29%), Scandinavia (13%), Spain (8%) and Germany (7%).
Game of Thrones was the most watched series with 8.7 million viewers.
The research was undertaken this April in a sample of 1,500 internet users and employing the CAWI method.
