KPN is launching DreamWorks channel in The Netherlands

July 22, 2019 13.59 Europe/London By Robert Briel

KPN and NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCUIN) are launching DreamWorks, a 24-hour HD channel for children, in the Netherlands.

DreamWorks will be available for all customers with KPN Interactive TV, KPN iTV from July 23. In the beginning with a smaller offer and from September with a full 24-hour broadcast schedule.

The DreamWorks channel brings movie heroes from the cinema to the TV screen at home to shine in their own TV shows, Emmy award-winning original TV series. With the launch of DreamWorks on KPN, children and other fans can look forward to the channel’s well-known and popular series, including: Dragons: Riders of Berk, The Adventures of the Puss in Boots, Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh.

“KPN continues to offer the best content for its TV customers,” says Stijn Nuijten, KPN’s Director of Marketing for the Consumer Market.

“We are delighted to welcome the world-famous DreamWorks to our TV platform, adding a variety of classic animated titles for children and other fans.”

“We are proud to be able to offer Dreamworks’ animated series and beloved characters to Dutch viewers through a partnership with KPN, through the first agreement of the DreamWorks channel in the Netherlands,” said Lee Raftery, Managing Director of NBCUniversal International Networks, EMEA.

“We believe that receiving award-winning content – for the whole family – will improve the overall entertainment experience of KPN’s iTV customers.
