Telenor gains TV subs

Telenor ended the first half with 556, 000 TV customers in its home market Norway.

This was up from 546,000 in the same period last year. At the same time, TV ARPU rose from NOK317 (€32.9) to NOK331.

Revenues from Telenor’s fixed internet and TV operations in Norway amounted to NOK3,028 million in H1, up from NOK2,957 million.

Total revenues in H1 were NOK12,540 million (NOK12,751 million in H1 2018) and operating profit NOK3,322 million (NOK2,320 million).

Meanwhile, in Sweden Telenor saw its TV subscriber total grow from 458,000 to 477,000 in the year to June 20, while TV APRU fell from NOK146 to NOK143. Fixed internet and TV revenues in H1 were NOK1,310 million (NOK1,326 million).

Total revenues in H1 were NOK5,985 million (NOK6,238 million) and operating profit NOK1,265 million (NOK1,370 million).
