Bartosz Witak has become a member of the supervisory board at Abstra, Poland’s leading independent producer of video content for YouTube.
Most recently, in the period 2011-18, he was head of Viacom International Media Networks for Central Europe and Israel.
His appointment follows that of Rafal Agnieszczak, one of the most famous internet entrepreneurs in Poland, and the board now consists of Witak, Agnieszczak and Maciej Wandzel.
Commenting on the new board members, Maciej Szwarc, president of Abstra, said: “The main goals of Abstra are permanent development and the desire to expand our competences to the maximum. We feel great on YouTube and we’re looking to increase our presence on other platforms. To achieve this goal, we will need the experience of people with slightly different know-how from us. Bartosz Witak managed 16 branches of one of the largest television companies in the world, and Rafal Agnieszczak has been celebrating business triumphs in the Polish internet for over 10 years. The sum of their experience will enable us to gain a different perspective, which will be crucial for the development of our business”.
