All games from the Polish premier football league Ekstraklasa will from next season be available for the first time worldwide through a paid-for streaming service.
They will principally target the Polish diaspora, numbering close to 20 million.
Furthermore, Ekstraklasa has signed an agreement with Planet Sport under which the Telekom Austria-owned company will show games from the league in Serbia, Croatia, Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Slovenia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The two developments form part of the finalisation of Ekstraklasa’s negotiations for rights to the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.
In Poland, the rights have been awarded to nc+ and TVP. Internationally, Ekstraklasa has an agreement with IMG that will allow bookmakers to show games from the league.
