The ODMedia Group opens German office

July 3, 2019 08.01 Europe/London By Robert Briel

The ODMedia Group, the Dutch content services and processing company for on-demand media, has announced the opening of its German office.

Based in Cologne, the new office is in cooperation with Rushlake Media GmbH and effectively expands the company’s next-generation media and commercial aggregation services to Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Fueled by the growing demand for new media solutions, today’s news falls on the heels of the company’s recent expansion in May to the UK. Over the last 24 months, ODMedia has experienced substantial growth and opened additional subsidiaries not only in the UK, but also in Belgium, Scandinavia, Spain and South Africa.

Joining the team in Cologne is Luise Jansen as Senior Sales Manager. Jansen will bring experience from her different sales positions for German distribution companies such as Tele München Gruppe and Tiberius Film.

“I am thrilled for our new partnership. The ODMedia Group and Rushlake Media have already had several successful business endeavors together, so this was the logical next step as we focus on our global rollout strategy,” said Sjef Pijnenburg, CEO of The ODMedia Group.

Founded in 2004 by Sjef Pijnenburg, The ODMedia Group has strategic partnerships with all the global OTT platforms and has been awarded ‘preferred partner’ status by iTunes and is a Netflix Preferred Fulfilment Partner, recognising its ability to provide the best delivery services in the world. In addition to offering the full range of technical-delivery services, The ODMedia Group acts as an aggregator for the major platforms, providing digital-rights management, monetisation, target audience development and cross-promotion. It also manages linear and non-linear channel playout for SVOD, AVOD and TVOD.

Philipp Hoffmann, Managing Director of Rushlake Media added: “Because of the growing importance of the digital market, it has become more and more important for all rights holders to have reliable and strong partners that not only have access to the market, but can also strategically support them in marketing and monetization. I look forward to our collaboration with The ODMedia Group as we will now be able to offer ODMedia’s wide-ranging service portfolio to German-speaking distributors.”

Founded in 2013 by Hoffmann, Rushlake Media GmbH helps its partners successfully navigate the various digital distribution channels in order to find just the right multi-lane distribution path for their project. Rushlake Media supports their clients not only with the licensing to VoD Platforms, but also by creating successful marketing strategies for the digital market.
