Kabelplus Austria launches Magic TV

June 26, 2019 10.55 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Austrian cable operator Kabelplus is now offering its customers the new interactive multiscreen service Magic TV.

The line-up comprises not only more than 130 digital TV channels including HD, but also a replay function, offering 7-day catch-up TV on up to 95 channels.

In addition, the programmes can be paused and watched later (time-shift) and an already running programme can be watched from the beginning (restart). There is also a recording function, a search function and video-on-demand.

Next to the TV set, Magic TV can also be used via an app on smartphones and tablets as well as on Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV.

Magic TV was developed and implemented in conjunction with Austrian IPTV solutions provider Ocilion.

“With Kabelplus, the leading network operator in Lower Austria and Burgenland has opted for our tailor-made on-premises end-to-end solution. In very short project time, we have launched Magic TV along with our 4K set-top boxes, TV apps and content packages as a future-proof IPTV product which fits seamlessly into the existing product world and will inspire numerous customers,” said Hans Kühberger, CEO of Ocilion IPTV Technologies.
