Alchimie will launch Sexplora, a new ‘educational’ OTT channel dedicated to sex, on July 7.
Built around the Canadian YouTube channel Sexplora, the launch is in partnership with Urbania Media. The channel wants to “look at sex and its subjects, with one objective: to talk cash, without talking trash,” according to a press statement. A subscription. to the channel will cost EUR4.99 a month.
Lili Boisvert, the Quebec journalist who hosts the Sexplora series broadcast on Ici Explora (Radio-Canada) since 2016, approaches sexuality “in a positive, uncomplicated and intelligent way.” A pedagogical approach to talk seriously but lightly about all subjects: libido, orgasm, masturbation, fetishism, vulva, abstinence, domination, bisexuality, fidelity… and answer the questions that everyone asks themselves.
In addition to these investigations in the world of intimacy, which are totally new in France, the Sexplora channel also offers a series of thematic programmes about themes such as sex in society today, sex through history, an ethnological approach to sex to understand how it is treated in the world, sex and culture, including the Sex & Music series produced for Arte. More than 50 programmes are available at launch of the channel and new content will be added to the catalogue every month.
