Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat will increase its prices this autumn in order to fund further investments.
Speaking to Reuters, Zygmunt Solorz, the company’s founder and main shareholder, added that building the market is crucial and Cyfrowy Polsat’s supervisory board have met with the management to discuss the increase.
Both the incumbent Orange Polska and Play Communications raised their prices earlier this year, in part to help fund the introduction of 5G services.
Cyfrowy Polsat has delayed increasing its until the launch of new IT and sales systems in a few months time.
The company’s assets include the leading DTH platform in Poland of the same name, along with the broadcaster Telewizja Polsat and a growing portfolio of thematic channels.
