Ukraine’s MGU teams up with GoQuest

Media Group Ukraine (MGU) has entered into a content distribution agreement with Mumbai-based GoQuest Media Ventures.

As a result, GoQuest will distribute a number of MGU series, including Wedding Ring with Ruby, Mysteries, Flowers of Rain and Eclipse, that have already been broadcast in Ukraine and achieved high ratings.

Commenting on the development, Jimmy George, VP of sales and acquisitions at GoQuest Media, said: “Ukrainian drama is gaining momentum, these series have successfully passed on their home territory, and we are very pleased to add them to our growing portfolio of dramatic series. With all the necessary elements of romance, revenge, deception and melodrama, these series have great potential to become international hits. We are glad to offer them to the world market”.

Iryna Chernyak, director of the department of sales of television content , MGU, and director for procurement of software product for the Ukraine TV channel, added: “Expanding the geography of the distribution of own content is one of the key development strategies of MGU. Our television series are already well-known and popular on the markets of the CIS and Europe. We are extremely ambitious in our desire to enter the world level and are very pleased to start working with a team of professionals from GoQuest Media Ventures. I am confident that this partnership will be mutually beneficial and successful”.
