The Dutch OTT service from the public broadcasters NPO Start is now available for Android TV.
With the app of NPO Start, programmes of the broadcasters can be watched on many brands of smart-tvs. The NPO Start app for Android TV is now available on the Google Play Store. The app has already been available for Apple TV since last year.
“This is a nice new step in our ambition to be present on every relevant device with NPO Start”, says Mezen Dannawi, manager of NPO Start. “Viewers will find the entire range of public broadcasting on our demand platform and we want to make it available to as many people as possible.
NPO Start’s app can be used on all Google-approved Android TV devices, including Philips, Sony, TLC, NVIDIA Shield and Mi BOX S.
Mezen Dannawi of NPO Start emphasises that the on-demand platform of the public broadcaster continues to take significant steps: “We are continuously working on an even better technical performance and at the end of the summer we will be coming up with a few more major, important additions, which we will of course then present to the public. NPO Start goes for the best viewing experience of the best Dutch programmes for the whole of the Netherlands.”
