Revenues in Moldova’s electronic communications market fell by 3.2% year-on-year to MDL1.475 billion (€71.2 million) in the first quarter, according to data published by the regulator ANRCETI.
However, within that revenues from the sale of broadcasting and retransmission services shot up by 41.6% to MDL83.3 million. At the same time, fixed internet revenues grew by 6.2% to MDL334.7 million and mobile internet revenues by 12.4% to MDL274.5 million.
This was more than outweighed by a 17.6% fall in fixed telephony revenue to MDL117.9 million, mobile telephony by 2.9% to MDL727.2 million and other services by 25.6% to MDL136.3 million.
