Evren Bondarenko has been appointed the director of Media Group Ukraine (MGU), effective June 10.
Bondarenko served as COO in StarLightMedia Group for the last seven years, prior to which he held positions at EastOne Management and TNK-BP Ukraine.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “today is a huge honour and responsibility. Media Group Ukraine is successful, it combines a unique portfolio of assets and a team of professionals. In the near future, it is important for us to determine the priorities and strategy for further development. But what exactly can I say right now: we will move forward and develop the market and industry that I have devoted many years of my life and, of course, is interested in further implementation of projects aimed at its systematic improvement. This is an interesting and at the same time a difficult task that really inspires and motivates.”
Oleksandr Barinov, chairman of the supervisory board of Media Group Ukraine, added: “The world is becoming global, the value of content is rising, the media industry is undergoing a fundamental transformation. In fact, we have a new industry in our eyes.
