Ad-supported, free streaming platform Pluto TV has acquired a programme package from ZDF Enterprises, the commercial arm of German public broadcaster ZDF, and uses the content to offer two channels: Kultkrimi and Telenovela ZDF.
The line-up of the channels available to users in Germany and Austria comprises classic crime series such as Derrick and Der Kommissar as well as telenovelas like Hanna – Folge deinem Herzen and Glück – Spuren im Sand.
Pluto TV, recently acquired by US media company Viacom, also launched a pop-up channel dedicated to documentary series Ice Pilots.
