Telefónica’s Movistar has launched a new OTT service named Movistar+ Lite.
Available to all viewers, irrespective of whether or not they are Movistar clients, it costs €8 a month and gives access to over 350 entertainment programmes from Movistar, along with over 4,600 fiction series and over 20 sports competitions, including Wimbledon, NBA, Liga Endesa, Serie A, Ligue 1, SuperBowl, rugby, Indycar and Diamond League.
Also included in the offer the live channels # 0, #Vamos, Movistar Series, Movistar Seriesmania, Fox, TNT, Comedy Central and AMC.
Movistar+ Lite is available to viewers on a free one months’ trial and can be accessed on PCs, smart TVs and smartphones (both iOS and Android), simultaneously on two devices.
Commenting on the launch, Sergio Oslé, the president of Movistar+, said: “We are going to revolutionise the audiovisual market in Spain. Although the name is Movistar + Lite, our bet is very big”.
