Come to the seventh IPTV/OTT Industry Breakfast

June 3, 2019 08.42 Europe/London By Broadband TV News Correspondent

IPTV provider Ocilion together with Broadband TV News as its media partner will host the annual IPTV/OTT Industry Breakfast at ANGA COM 2019 on June 5 from 9 to 11am, helping TV operators attract new viewers of all ages in a fast-faced, ever-changing sector.

It’s the seventh edition of the unique and globally-renowned independent gathering, which sees industry chiefs and the eco-system converge under one roof to collaboratively troubleshoot challenges and brainstorm the next big opportunities in the operator arena.

Ocilion is a leading B2B provider of complete IPTV solutions for network operators. The IPTV specialist is delivering individual multi-screen IPTV platforms combining pioneering features and a wide array of content offerings on converged networks. Ocilion is also providing pre-integrated set-top boxes (both IP and hybrid IP/DVB-C) serving the specific requirements of all different network topologies: HFC, VDSL, FTTX and OTT.

Alongside its partner hosts Verimatrix, LIWEST and the Discovery network, Ocilion will provide expertise in attracting new subscribers, maintaining and up-selling existing. The right IPTV approach helps operators to satisfy the changing demands of consumers and hold their own against larger competitors. In addition, especially FTTH providers benefit from IPTV as differentiator to satellite’s live-only TV, thus driving the fiber-optic expansion.

Ocilion CEO Hans Kühberger said: “We’re delighted to be the official host of the 2019 IPTV/OTT Industry Breakfast at ANGA COM.

Ocilion’s tailored IPTV solutions help operators grow their customer base by appealing to all age groups – from streamers only to classic live TV users starting to appreciate time-shifted TV gaining more flexibility in their daily routine. It’s crucial operators choose the right TV offer to keep their existing customers happy and attract new subscribers in this increasingly competitive industry. This is a market of exponential growth and Ocilion, alongside its esteemed partners, is eager to help operators achieve their ambitions by implementing the correct progressive solutions.”

The event will kick off with breakfast served at 9am, followed by a panel discussion at 9.30am and an open Q&A at 10.45am, moderated by Julian Clover from Broadband TV News.

The expert panel will comprise Ocilion CEO Hans Kühberger, Verimatrix COO Steve Oetegenn, Thomas Bichlmeir – Director of Distribution & Com Strategy at Discovery, and Philipp-Thomas Müller – Team Leader of Product Management & Corporate Communication at LIWEST.
