TVN/Discovery Polska have launched Europe’s first news-based on demand platform.
Known as TVN24 Go, it offers TVN24 and TVN24 Bis, two of Poland’s most influential news channels, along with additional live transmissions and a rich library of information and current affairs programmes on demand.
TVN24 Go includes seven-day catch-up and the option of reversing live programmes by up to two hours.
It is operating in Beta and will be tested and improved over the next few months. In due course, it will include such features as personalisation.
TVN24 Go can be received through web browsers, as well app on mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) and smart TVs.
Viewers are not required to sign long-term contracts, instead being offered three packages of one, 30 or 365 days. During the promotional Beta period they can be received from PLN10 (€2.33) upwards.
