Telia is to remove 240 jobs from its Norwegian business as part of an organisational restructure.
The business, which includes the Norwegian cablenet Get, acquired the Norwegian interests of TDC in July 2018 for NOK21 billion.
10% of staff will go, many through natural wastage.
Telia Norway’s CEO Abraham Foss acknowledged it was under pressure across its Scaninavian territories.
“Our industry is characterised by rapid changes in all areas, both in the operator landscape nationally and globally, and in terms of competitive situation, technology and customer behaviour. Our top priority will always be to build a more competitive and stronger Telia Norway,” he said.
