T-Mobile had 101,000 customers accessing its TV service in the Czech Republic on IPTV or DTH as of the end of the first quarter.
This, according to the company in its latest set of results, was 54,000 more than a year earlier.
It adds that Magenta 1 celebrated its first anniversary in the Czech market this February. As of Q1, two thirds of the company’s customers used a combination of fixed and mobile services, with remainder choosing only mobile. The largest group opted for four services, with the most popular being Mobile S home internet and T-Mobile TV.
Commenting on the results, Juraj Bona, director of T-Mobile in the Czech Republic, said: “Our long-term goal is to become the first choice for all using mobile and fixed services, IPTV and smart technologies.
“We see from the success of Magenta 1 after a year on the market that we have stepped in the right direction. It is a unique solution that, thanks to its flexibility, suits every home. It offers customers not only financial savings and a number of benefits, and they also greatly appreciate that we do not dictate anything to them, the choice of services is up to them. ”
