Russia’s Beeline continues to benefit from the Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) proposition of its parent company Veon.
Latest results published by Veon show that its FMC customer base grew by 19.7% year-on-year in Q1 to over 1.1 million. This was equivalent to 46% customer penetration of the company’s broadband base.
Veon had revenues of R69,247 million (€953.5 million) in Q1, or 4.4% more than a year earlier.
Mobile services accounted for the lion’s share of the total (R54,933 million, +1.2%), with fixed line claiming the remainder (R8,502 million, -4.1%).
EBITDA stood at R30,934 million, up 22.7% on a year earlier.
Veon had 2.4 million (+7.2%) fixed broadband customers in Russia in Q1, with broadband ARPU amounting to R369 (-3%).
