International broadcasters BBC World Service, Deutsche Welle (DW), France24 and Voice of America (VoA) have launched a Turkish-language news channel.
The objective of the venture branded +90 is to provide independent and trusted information, respecting freedom of speech and fostering the expression of different views, according to the partners. The diverse programming is aimed at Turkish-speaking users living in Turkey and abroad who are interested in international politics, business, social issues, science and culture.
Representatives of the four international broadcasters held a joint press conference in Istanbul on April 29, 2019 for the launch of the new channel which is distributed via YouTube at www.youtube.com/plus90.
DW affirmed its ambition of setting up a Turkish-language news service one year ago.
The broadcasters will contribute selected video content to the +90 channel where users will find a growing line-up of reports, interviews and features. All content is available on demand.
