A1 Telekom Austria expanded the TV business in all its CEE markets in the year to March 31.
In Belarus, the total number of TV RGUs stood at 398,400 at the end of Q1, up from 258,900 a year earlier, thanks largely to the acquisition of Vitebsk Garnat, consolidated in May 2018. However, the Q1 figure was down from the 408,100 posted at the end of last year.
In Bulgaria and Croatia, two of A1’s longest-established TV markets, it ended Q1 with 508,400 and 235,600 TV RGUs respectively, up from 488,100 and 213,900 a year earlier.
Elsewhere, the number of TV RGUs in Slovenia grew from 54,200 to 62,700 in to March 31 and in North Macedonia from 123,500 to 130,400.
In its home market Austria, the number of TV RGUs increased from 302,000 to 316,400.
A1 Telekom Austria Group had total revenues of €1,089.5 million (+1.5%) in Q1.
Its EBITDA was €374.1 million (-3.5%) and net profit €85.9 million (+202.7 million).
