Skylink Live TV can now be received on selected models of Vestel’s smart TVs.
TV sets from the Vestel group include the brands Finlux, Hitachi, JVC, Telefunken, Toshiba, Gogen, Hyundai and Orava. The hybrid smart TV app developed by M7 allows users of Vestel produced smart TVs, all equipped with built-in satellite tuners, seamless access to both M7’s linear and non-linear TV content in HD and UHD quality through a central user interface and without the need of a set top box. Furthermore, by connecting the smart TV to the internet, it offers numerous interactive features (e.g. live restart, pause TV, access to media libraries etc.) and digital services like cloud recording and electronic programme guide.
According to Jaromir Glisnik, member of the board at M7 Group, “Other applications of this kind only run over the internet. Skylink Live TV, however, integrates the functions of satellite and internet TV.
“Users who connect to it via their TV can conveniently operate their online application with their remote control. And thanks to the collaboration with Vestel, the app is already available for ten brands.”
Skylink Live TV has until now been available on mobile devices, PCs and on LG and Samsung smart TVs. Skylink Live TV offers up 60 channels, 33 of which are in HD.
The announcement is part of M7″s roll out of the Vestel smart TV app across all its platforms in Europe.
