Jeff Dodds has been named as Virgin Media’s new chief operating officer, the cablenet has announced.
Dodds will officially take on the role, leading the Consumer division, on June 11.
Lutz Schüler, who previously held the position, has been promoted to be Virgin Media’s new CEO following the announcement that Tom Mockridge would step down in June.
Dodds became Virgin Media’s chief customer officer and managing director of operations in November. He’d previously led the company’s mobile business.
Said Schüler: “Jeff’s deep expertise and experience of Virgin Media and our customers made him the natural choice for COO. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with him, and all our teams, to drive the business forward as we concentrate on putting our customers and connectivity at the very heart of what we do.”
Dodds also worked for Tele2 as the CEO of their Dutch telecoms business, where he oversaw the build and launch of its 4G mobile network. Prior to this Dodds spent five years at Virgin Media where he was responsible for marketing, commercial strategy and customer experience.
