Viacom launches Nick+ on Greece’s Cosmote TV

April 24, 2019 09.07 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Viacom International Media Networks is launching Nick+ on Greece’s pay TV platform, Cosmote TV.

The service offers access to more than 400 hours of premium Nickelodeon entertainment, any time on any device for Cosmote TV subscribers.

“Nickelodeon is one of the leading kids brands in Greece reaching thousands of families daily across all platforms, and we’re happy to partner with COSMOTE TV to continue engaging even more local fans,” said David Urgell, Senior Vice President of Strategy, Content Distribution and Digital for Viacom International Media Networks’ Southern and Western Europe, Middle East and Africa cluster.

“Partnering with the country’s top Pay TV platform is an important step forward for our strategy in Greece, where our multiplatform distribution has increased significantly in the last year.”

The new premium on demand service Nick+ includes top titles and episodes from hit shows like PAW Patrol, SpongeBob SquarePants, Shimmer and Shine and Dora the Explorer. Cosmote TV subscribers can access the service anywhere, anytime, across all devices, making Nick+ a truly family-friendly, multiscreen offer.

“People’s TV viewing preferences are changing both globally and in Greece, as more and more viewers turn to on demand content for their entertainment. With the addition of Nick+ to our portfolio, we offer a variety of popular animated series and family content by the leading network, further enriching our on demand service”, stated Mr. Dimosthenis Vasilopoulos, Cosmote TV Content & Production Operations Director.

VIMN brand Nickelodeon is distributed in Greece on FTA and as a Pay TV offer on the country’s leading platforms, alongside MTV and VH1. In addition, VIMN continues to expand their brand footprint in the country with the rollout of Nick+ as a multiplatform offer.
