NENT Group has confirmed a key rights acquisition, extending its contract with The Open golf championship in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland until the end of 2024.
It means that three of the four major golf championships shown across the Nordic region exclusively by NENT Group.
The broadcasting group that runs the Viasat and TV3 brands holds the Nordic rights to three of the four golf majors – The Open, the US Open and the PGA Championship – along with the Danish rights to the remaining major, the Masters Tournament. It also carries the World Golf Championships, the eight Rolex Series competitions and the Ryder Cup.

Rights to the PGA Championship will be under pressure from Discovery’s GolfTV, when the Nordic contracts expire in 2022.
