Gross proceeds from annual fun run held to promote equity in the media and tech industries have passed $1 million, Elemental Technologies has confirmed.
The 4K 4Charity run held at NAB 2019 raised more than $68,000 for Girls Who Code, a US non-profit organisation that works to close the gender gap in technology and to change the image of what a programmer looks like.
The NAB run also broke previous records with more than 735 individuals registered.
Now in its fifth year, the 4km (2.49-mile) running and walking event is held worldwide at major industry events including the NAB Show, IBC Show, and the SMPTE Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition.
