TVN International has expanded its presence outside Poland and is now available in 12 other European countries.
Previously distributed in only the UK, it can now also be received in Germany, France, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia, Portugal and Italy.
TVN International features programmes and series from TVN and Discovery Polska, including content from the channels ITVN, ITVN Extra and TVN24.
Customers wishing to receive it have to buy the TVN International package in the OTT service player.pl.
TVN International costs PLN50 (€11.7) a month as a part of a promotional offer, with the usual price being PLN65 a month. However, as part of the occasional marking its 15th anniversary on April 29, it will be offered free of charge for 15 days.
Commenting on the service’s further expansion beyond Poland, Tomasz Parfienowicz, the director of commercial strategy and international distribution, said: “Making TVN International available in other markets is a very important moment for us, because so far TVN and Discovery Polska’s content was not available at all in some territories, eg in Denmark, Italy or Austria. Now it is possible thanks to the service in player.pl. In the further stages, we will expand access to the package to other countries, and the service will be developed on a regular basis”.
Maciej Gozdowski, director of player.pl, added: “The development of access to the player.pl website outside the country is extremely important to us. We are the leader of the Polish market of legal OTT websites and we are happy that more and more Poles staying abroad can watch our programmes”.
