ran Fighting joins Freenet TV [UPDATE]

April 11, 2019 21.50 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

German TV platform Freenet TV has added action sports channel ran Fighting to its line-up.

The pay-TV channel targeting the fans of boxing, mixed martial arts, kickboxing and karate, reaches the TV screens via the internet through Freenet TV Connect. Freenet TV customers can sign up for ran Fighting for €2.49 per month through the Freenet TV customer portal.

After sportdigital, Motorvision TV, kicker and Sportdeutschland TV, ran Fighting, operated by ProSiebenSat.1, is the fifth sports offer on Freenet TV Connect. The hybrid, HbbTV 1.5-based service complements the channels broadcast via DVB-T2 and DTH satellite with further TV channels as live-streams, catch-up TV services and apps.

Update – April 15, 2019: ran Fighting is the first pay-TV channel on Freenet TV Connect, as a spokesman of Freenet TV operator Media Broadcast confirmed to Broadband TV News. The Freenet TV Connect customers can also access subscription video-on-demand service maxdome.
