YouTube TV is continuing to add new channels to what is known in the US as an virtual MVPD streaming subscription service.
Following the launch of four Epix channels earlier this week, YouTube TV is adding nine channels from Discovery, Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Investigation Discovery, Animal Planet, Travel Channel and MotorTrend on Thursday. OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network will launch by year end.

“This agreement highlights how much viewers love our brands and the high value that passion has in the marketplace, and underscores YouTube TV’s commitment to offering high-quality programming to subscribers.”

In a related development, YouTube TV announced it was raising its monthly subscription price to $49.99, for more than 70 linear channels.
