A TV channel targeting the Roma community in Slovakia will make its debut on April 8.
Parabola reports that the service, named TV Roma, began trails earlier this week and will be distributed by the B2B platform Pantelio, which employs Hispasat 30W-5 at 30 degrees West.
Although initially FTA, it will subsequently be encrypted with Panaccess and made available only to Pantelio customers.
Parabola adds that TV Romana is operated by Slov Media Group and received a licence from Slovakia’s Broadcast and Retransmission Council (RRTV) on March 20.
Broadband TV News notes that Slov Media Group is based in Bratislava and provides a fullrange of services for regional and local TV stations in Slovakia.
