German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has added a download function to its streaming service Sky Ticket, allowing users to watch movies and series without an internet connection.
The offline mode is available for smartphones and tablets (iOS/Android) on which the latest update of the Sky Ticket app has been installed.
Downloads are made via Wi-Fi and cover content of the packages Entertainment Ticket, Cinema Ticket and the Kids Section. The function is not available for the Supersport Ticket.
Subtitles and language can be changed on downloaded content without an internet connection.
For copyright reasons, not all Sky Ticket content can be downloaded, but the feature is available for most series and films.
