The Latvian incumbent Lattelecom will begin rebranding to Tet from April 1.
According to the company, the process will be gradual and happen automatically, with customers not being required to take any action. Initially, the new name and brand will appear in business communications, traditional WiFi networks and shop design.
Commenting on the development, Juris Gulbis, Lattelecom’s chairman of the board, said: “Thanks to Lattelecom, with which we have grown up to now. Lattelecom has given many reasons to be proud of Latvia and the world – we have one of the fastest optical internet in Europe, the most modern television and the safest data centre in the Baltics. Tet will take the best from Lattelecom and create new technological solutions for people’s everyday needs The transition to Tet is based on the business strategy for the next three years and an ambitious digital transformation, where we will work on the improvement of external and internal processes, as well as involve customers to offer quicker and more convenient services”.
Lattelecom is one of the leading pay-TV operators in Latvia and last year launched an interactive TV service named Helio.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, its rebrand was officially announced at the end of January this year.
