The building of the Serbian national broadcaster RTS has been stormed by people protesting against the country’s President Aleksandar Vucic.
Balkan Insight reports they were joined by leaders of the political opposition, who demanded that that the protest organisers should be allowed to speak live on air, but were eventually expelled by riot police.
In a subsequent press conference, Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said that all those who entered the building illegally would be prosecuted. He also said that the police had acted according to the law and did not resort to violence.
Meanwhile, President Vucic said that everyone who partakes in violence would be held accountable.
Protests against the government began in Belgrade last December but have since spread to other parts of the country.
