The Czech children’s channel Tuty TV has ceased broadcasting after less than two years.
According to Rozhlas.cz, the decision was made by its investor, who had already decided not to finance the project further.
It adds that Tuty TV was launched on June 1, 2017 and available on both DVB-T (on the Regional Multiplex 8 operated by Ceske Radiokomunikace and pay-TV (cable, IPTV and DTH) services, targeting viewers aged 4-14.
However, it found the costs of using Multiplex 8 high and concluded that with DVB-T2 it would be impossible to sustain a small private station focused on children and young people.
