Sports streaming service DAZN will transmit the entire 2019 season of racing series MotoGP live.
The rights package, of which financial details have not been disclosed, covers Germany, Austria and Switzerland and also includes the Moto2 and Moto3 series.
On each racing weekend, DAZN will show the practice sessions, qualifying rounds and races with German commentary. There will also be a weekly highlight programme and the original production In Our Blood, a documentary.
The first event will be the VisitQatar Grand Prix from March 8 to 10, 2019 in Doha. In Germany and Austria, the MotoGP will take place this year at the Sachsenring (July 5-7) and in Spielberg (August 9-11).
The exclusive TV rights for MotoGP in Germany and Austria are held by commercial broadcaster Servus TV, which also wants to show the races as part of its live-stream on the internet, a Servus TV spokeswoman told Broadband TV News. DAZN acquired the pure streaming rights.
